The city is a witness of the old, as well as of the new world going back 450 years. It is situated on the shores of the Caribbean Ocean, and it was founded by Don Pedro de Heredia in 1533. Its rich history encircled by the walled in downtown center, its excellent location, and its great tourist and industrial potential, make it one of the most attractive cities of the Caribbean and Latin America.
